Hello…. A little bit about me…

I’m Hollie, Mother of 2 daughters, Occupational therapist, who is passionate about women and new parents stepping into their full potential and thriving in life. As an Occupational Therapist, my skills support women across their lives to connect with their emotions, tune into their body and gain clarity about their values, direction and desires in life. I support women to navigate the changes and challenges to their mind and body through life transitions, such as pregnancy, motherhood, menopause. When we are in tune with our mind and body, we can develop our awareness and agency to engage meaningfully in life.

Hollie's clinical occupational therapy practice is deeply rooted in matricentric feminism and the principles of mother-centered care. Currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Perinatal Mental Health, she is committed to furthering her understanding of the unique challenges faced by women during the perinatal period. As an Occupational Therapist, Hollie integrates this perspective, along side her training in motherhood studies, matrescence and women’s health into her work with all women, recognizing the importance of addressing the diverse needs of women across the lifespan, holistically.

Utilising a mind body approach see’s Hollie using, Somatic Maternal Healing, ACT, CBT, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), to offer an integrative approach to mental health support. Her expertise extends include hands on and body based modalities which include Soft Tissue Injury Management, Scar Management, and trauma-informed pelvic health support and yoga/movement to ensuring holistic care for her clients.

Hollie's clinic provides fee-for-service OT support, either in clinic, telehealth or home visiting, with the option for bulk billing arrangements on a case by case basis. Additionally, she offers bulk-billed telehealth sessions through The Gidget Foundation, one day per week, as a way to give back to the community.

In her practice, Hollie embraces matricentric feminism by acknowledging and valuing the central role of mothers in society. Her approach to mother-centered care considers the biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and political dimensions of women's experiences. By centering mothers' needs and experiences, Hollie aims to empower women as they navigate the challenges of motherhood and beyond.
